In 2023, the Sherwood Band Boosters launched the Save Our Music Instrument Fundraiser with the ambitious goal of raising funds to purchase new instruments for both Sherwood High School and Middle School bands and establish a repair fund for existing instruments. Over six months, this initiative received incredible support from individuals, families, businesses, and band alumni across Oregon, Utah, and Washington.
Thanks to the generosity of 29 named donors, along with numerous anonymous supporters from across these states and our local community, we successfully raised $115,000. The names inscribed on this monument are proportionally sized to honor the contributions made to this important cause.
As you watch the marching band take the field or attend one of our Winter or Spring concerts, know that these instruments are being played and cherished by grateful students and our Band Directors, thanks to your support.
